Powertrain

In contrast, the 2021 Encore GX offers a choice of two engines, neither of which pull more than 155 hp or 175 lb-ft. of torque. If you’re excited about continuously variable transmission technology, however, only the Encore GX offers that drivetrain, though you can get a 9-speed automatic as well.

Interior luxury

Both crossover models offer seating for up to five passengers, but the similarities inside the cars end there. The Buick Encore GX has a perfectly serviceable, if spartan, interior, with the amenities you’d expect, like heated seats and Buick QuietTuning technology, available in-vehicle air ionizer, and others.

The Envision, on the other hand, comes those features and a number of others to make driving even more comfortable:
